Review of the 2025 Paris Peace Forum

The 2025 edition of the Paris Peace Forum, held on 29-30 October, highlighted the new challenges of global governance under the theme: "New Coalitions for Peace, People and the Planet". More than 15 Heads of State and Government, 25 ministers, as well as 4,000 participants and 500 speakers took part in the discussions, including two PIPA alumni.

Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, marked this edition with two key interventions.

He first addressed the issue of information integrity, stressing that disinformation now represents "a strategic threat to democracy" :

The Minister also spoke during a session dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Geneva Conventions, underscoring the essential role of international humanitarian law in building sustainable peace :

PIPA alumni at the 8th Edition of the Paris Peace Forum

Dubai ABULHOUL, PIPA alumna 2022 and Director General of the Fiker Institute, an interdisciplinary think tank based in Dubai, took part in the panel discussion : "Reshaping the World Order : What Role for Middle Powers ?"

Vjosa OSMANI, PIPA alumna 2019 and current President of the Republic of Kosovo, also contributed to the Forum’s discussions. A jurist specializing in international law and a committed advocate for the rule of law and women’s political participation, she is today one of the leading voices for democratic strengthening in the Balkans.
