As part of the Personalities of the Future Invitation Programme (PIPA), Irina Patrahau, an analyst at the Hague Centre for Strategic Studies in the Netherlands, made a study visit to France from 8 to 11 June.This program allowed her to discover the French approach to the challenges of industrial sovereignty, energy transition and economic resilience. During her stay, she was received by representatives of French administrations at the Ministries of the Economy and the Ecological Transition, research institutions such as IFRI or the Institut Montaigne, as well as private-sector companies and specialized think tanks.These in-depth discussions focused on national and European strategies aimed at diversifying supply sources, developing processing and recycling capacities, and supporting the emergence of a more resilient industrial sector. The visit of several innovative sites and projects illustrated the initiatives undertaken by France in this field.This sequence offered Mrs. Patrahau the opportunity to deepen her knowledge of the French ecosystem and to establish contacts with reference interlocutors. Through this program, PIPA contributes to strengthening a common understanding of major strategic issues and developing sustainable cooperation.
