Jan Zlatan Kulenović is a social innovator and youth development expert with over 20 years of experience managing multi-donor projects in social innovation, youth empowerment, and career development across Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Western Balkans, and in international cooperation.
He is the founder of the MUNJA Social Innovation Incubator, one of the leading NGOs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose programmes have directly supported more than 120,000 people, including young people, youth workers, PES advisors, and education professionals. He also coordinates the regional STAR.study initiative, focused on GenZ career development in the Western Balkans. This initiative includes an interactive digital portal with daily opportunities for youth with the first AI Career Agent, STARfest as the region’s largest career development festival and STARforum as a platform bringing together key youth employment stakeholders.
Throughout his career, Jan has worked as a consultant for more than 60 international organizations, institutions, and companies, contributing to a wide range of youth and development initiatives. His Innovation Challenge concept received the 2019 national award for Best HR Practice in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since 2025, he has served as a national expert for the World Summit Awards and is the co-author of more than 30 publications, research papers, studies, and handbooks. He holds an MA in Social Development Practice from London Metropolitan University and has further strengthened his expertise through prestigious international fellowship and professional development programmes in Japan, Australia, Europe, and the USA.
